Kalamazoo Kennel Club’s Mission:

The Kalamazoo Kennel Club is an organization dedicated to promoting and educating all aspects of purebred dogs.  Kalamazoo Kennel Club established in 1948 will advance and encourage canine health & wellbeing, good sportsmanship in competition, and promote responsible dog ownership.  

Kalamazoo Kennel Club’s Vision:

The Kalamazoo Kennel Club seeks to 

1.     Foster growth and development of purebred dog sports.

2.     Train, mentor, and develop future purebred dog breeders and junior handlers.

3.     Engage and increase membership involvement.

4.     Increase community awareness and education of dog sports.  

Kalamazoo Kennel Club’s Goals:

The Kalamazoo Kennel Club is committed to continue to provide classes, information, and tools needed that help enable dogs to become well-behaved members of the community. 

1.     Classes are available in many different areas that enhance learning while providing a fun outlet for owners.  The club will continue to offer new class opportunities as new events are developed / approved by AKC.    

2.     The club is involved in providing current and accurate information to the public on issues such as training their dog(s), showing their dog(s), and responsible dog ownership. 

3.     Endeavoring to be a good neighbor, the club provides education seminars, health clinics, and training for purebred dog breeders, junior dog owners, and exhibitors.  

4.     The club will increase membership and boost volunteer engagement in all club activities.
